About The Role As part of GHD’s rapid expansion across the EMEA region, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of significant projects. Our UK portfolio includes a diverse range of work, with project values spanning thousands to multi‑million pounds. Senior Project Managers lead large and complex, multi‑discipline work packages, managing standalone multimillion projects or collaborating as part of a larger team to deliver critical components of major initiatives. Core Responsibilities
Lead large, highly complex risk projects and programmes, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality. Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to meet deadlines and achieve targets efficiently. Interpret client requirements and reflect them in deliverables. Accountable for commercial and financial matters, ensuring invoices are raised correctly. Manage day‑to‑day work schedule and outcomes across entire project/programme/framework. Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and project teams. Produce accurate project estimates, budgets and schedules for bids and projects. Plan and complete own clearly defined tasks to meet set project deadlines. Contribute to the development of tools to support effective project delivery. Ensure company standards are implemented across own projects. Mentor less experienced team members. Maintain client relationships to support business development and repeat work.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Qualification / Degree in a relevant discipline. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Commercial acumen in dealings with clients and projects. Relationship building and influencing skills. Proven experience in achieving project performance and business targets. Experience supervising, mentoring or developing less experienced engineers. Learning agility, actively learning through experimentation and experience and seeking ways to grow. Experience managing and delivering highly complex, multi‑discipline projects as a Senior Project Manager.
