Are you the kind of Project Manager who thrives on turning complex engineering concepts into tangible, market-ready solutions? We’re partnering with a globally active engineering organisation seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead sophisticated product development programmes from early concept through to launch.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll orchestrate diverse technical teams, balance commercial performance, and ensure projects deliver real value on time and within budget.

You’ll operate at the centre of project delivery, collaborating with senior leaders and technical specialists across engineering, production, planning, commercial, and support functions. While you won’t have direct line management responsibilities, your leadership and influence will be critical in aligning teams and driving performance.

Expect a dynamic environment, hybrid working and regular visits to operational sites in the UK and overseas.

What you'll be responsible for:

* Taking full ownership of project delivery across the entire development lifecycle, from initial idea to product release

* Leading cross-functional teams to deliver technically complex programmes

* Managing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow tracking

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

* Identifying risks early and implementing strategies to protect and enhance project outcomes

* Overseeing contractual commitments and ensuring obligations are met

* Controlling scope changes and ensuring alignment with project objectives

* Planning and allocating resources to maximise efficiency and delivery success

* Embedding a culture of continuous improvement through lessons learned

What you bring:

* A proven history of delivering complex engineering or product development projects

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority

* Deep understanding of engineering and manufacturing environments

* Experience with Design for Manufacture and production readiness

* Confidence managing project finances and commercial performance

* Ability to navigate risk, contracts, and stakeholder expectations effectively

* Excellent communication skills, with a talent for building lasting relationships

* Formal training or certification in project management (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMP)

Bonus points if you have:

* Exposure to regulated industries such as marine, defence, or similar sectors

* Familiarity with global safety and quality frameworks

* Eligibility for security clearance
