Package/Salary: Remuneration and contract duration to be negotiated to suit project requirements, potential for a permanent role with the company.
Based at: Remote and Onsite working / travel as may be required on a project by project basis.

Contract & Working Pattern: We recognise that many experienced Project Managers operate across multiple contracts. As such, this role can be delivered either on a full-time basis or alongside another part-time engagement, provided the agreed level of input and project continuity can be maintained.
Job purpose
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for delivering the project to the Client successfully, on time and within budget. They are the face of Glantre for the project and are required to represent the Company in project meetings, ensuring at all times that the Company’s interests are protected.
The PM leads the project team and collaborates with the engineers to ensure that designs meet the client requirements, and that design / specification anomalies are resolved and additional costs documented / authorised. The PM, alongside the admin team, is responsible for issuing RFI’s / design information and managing the flow of documentation for the project.
The PM is required to plan and maintain the project programme ensuring that: milestone dates are met, that information is delivered and received on schedule and that programme slippage affecting our work is documented to the Main Contractor. The PM will programme the site work and assign / procure adequate resource to complete the installation work in accordance with the agreed programme. The PM is responsible for preparation and maintenance of RAMS covering all site works undertaken by our operatives. This is usually carried out in consultation with the design engineers.
It is the responsibility of the PM to deliver the project on budget and to improve margins where possible. The PM is required to track expenditure against budgets and to report upstream to the Project Director on a monthly basis. While the Project Director holds overall commercial responsibility for the project, the PM is expected to be commercially aware and ensure that all commercial issues are documented and reported.
The PM is responsible for ensuring that project close out documentation is prepared and submitted in good time.
Design Phase
Liaising with the client / consultant / main contractor during the design period
Preparing and maintaining the overall project programme
Managing the design engineers, ensuring that areas of “scope creep” are identified and ensure that these are claimed as variations
Ensuring that all equipment that is required to meet the design brief is included within the design package submitted for approval.
Making technical submissions and samples (if required) for equipment and obtaining of approvals before going to manufacture.
Procurement Phase
Negotiating with suppliers to obtain economically advantageous terms / pricing
Ensuring that risk in the supply chain is managed correctly
Ensuring orders are placed in good time for delivery in accordance with the project programme
Placement of orders with suppliers
Construction Phase
Preparation of RAMS
Preparation and maintenance of installation programme and overall project programme
Scheduling and procurement of installation labour
Arranging delivery of materials (including shipping / documentation for overseas projects)
Managing the onsite installation teams / work
Resolving issues with Main Contractor and coordinating works with other contractors
Identifying, documenting and reporting site issues affecting the progress of Glantre’s installation work
Preparing variation costings for additional or altered scope of works
Ensure O&M documentation is prepared and submitted, as required by the individual project specification.
General Duties
Attend training as agreed by the company to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Mentoring less experienced staff that will come on board as they are recruited
Required skills / attributes
Experience running electrical or IT infrastructure contracts in a construction environment
Experience running AV, Lighting or Rigging contracts in a construction environment
Experience in delivering large scale events or productions in the entertainment industry
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues & counterparts
Appreciation for the commercial requirements of contracting and familiarity with the requirements of JCT / NEC contracts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Ability to understand and prepare project schedules and plans
Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
Good grasp of Microsoft Office (Excel / Word)
Project scheduling with MS Project or similar software. Training will be provided if required.
Interest in or knowledge of theatre or event productions.
Ability to navigate and markup drawings in AutoCAD or equivalent.
