Senior Project Manager – Water and Environmental Resilience Join Turner & Townsend as a Senior Project Manager supporting the delivery of high‑profile infrastructure projects across water, utilities and environmental resilience. You will work from our London office, collaborating closely with regional client teams to manage programmes on aviation, roads, rail, telecommunications and utilities. Lead and manage large infrastructure projects or programmes, delivering to client objectives, contractual, financial, health & safety, quality and environmental standards. Drive project planning, control and reporting, ensuring work streams are coordinated and progress is tracked against key milestones. Establish and maintain long‑term trusted advisor relationships with clients and partner organisations. Manage project teams, providing clear direction, mentorship and development opportunities. Analyse complex problems, develop practical solutions and communicate them effectively to senior client representatives. Work under pressure and motivate team members to achieve high levels of performance. Apply strong stakeholder management skills across a diverse range of personalities. Support programmes with SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in infrastructure project and/or programme management across the full project lifecycle. Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of building and guiding teams in challenging or ambiguous environments. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management, with the ability to negotiate and influence. Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving capabilities. Strong planning, communication and organisational skills. Experience managing large project teams and contractual teams, including NEC contracts. Creative, curious and a growth mindset.
Beneficial Experience
Experience of utilities / water infrastructure project management. Experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts. Experience of managing contractors, consultants and advisors on infrastructure projects. Experience of consultancy or client‑side project management. Familiarity with public sector organisations, relevant to infrastructure.
Preferable Qualifications
Degree or HND in management, construction or a related subject, or equivalent experience. Professional affiliation or near‑qualification status with the APM, ICE, CIWEM or similar institution. Project management certification (APM, PRINCE2, MSP). NEC PM accreditations or qualifications.
