Job Description
We are partnering with this organisation to appoint a Senior Project Manager who will lead the delivery of a major Infrastructure project. These pivotal roles will ensure the smooth and efficient execution of the project from design through to construction and commissioning.
Working alongside a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidates will ensure thorough compliance with planning regulations, licences, and stakeholder requirements. With an emphasis on health, safety, and environmental best practice, they will manage contractor performance, lead discussions with designers and stakeholders, and provide clear and accurate progress reporting. Key Responsibilities
Act as the client representative at Non-Statutory Sub-Group meetings. Hold regular meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress and maintain alignment across all activities. Prepare monthly reports summarising project progress and providing required governance documentation. Manage team members assigned to project workstreams to ensure successful and timely delivery. Lead procurement activities and evaluate the performance of contractors and subcontractors. Collaborate with external stakeholders to secure agreement on project delivery plans. Work closely with internal teams to ensure operational readiness post-completion. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, specifications, and organisational policies throughout the project lifecycle. Guarantee that all project elements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Comply with all health and safety measures in accordance with the Havant Thicket Management Plan and the organisation’s safety policies.
Requirements
Strong communication and leadership skills with an ability to foster collaboration. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to review and produce technical specifications, procurement strategies and progress reports. Proven experience in risk management and managing budgets for large-scale construction projects. Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, processes, and equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Experience using Contract Management Software. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. More than 10 years’ experience in design and construction management. Demonstrable experience leading major civil infrastructure projects within the water sector. Knowledge of reservoir construction or major earthworks is advantageous. Essential NEC contract management experience, particularly NEC Option C target cost provisions. Full, valid driving licence and willingness to undertake a driving assessment. Recognised supervisory qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
