Job Description
Senior Project Manager – New Build D&B Main Contractor\n\n * c£65k - £70k (Dependent on Relevant Experience)\n\n * £5000 Car Allowance\n\n * Additional Benefits Package\n\nThe Company\n\nMy client is an independent construction contractor with longstanding customer relationships stretching back over two decades. These projects consist of New Builds and Refurbishments, primarily in the residential and commercial sectors, carried out on a Design & Build basis.\n\nThe Senior Project Manager Role:\n\nThey are extremely busy going into 2026 and require two Senior Project Manager to take control of two concurrent new build projects, in the multi-occupancy residential sector (Care Homes, Student Accommodation, Multi-Storey Apartments, etc.) with project values in the £5m to £10m bracket. Each project will have a No.1 PM and site based team reporting into to you.
Projects will predominantly be based throughout the East Midlands and South Yorkshire region.\n\nProject Manager Roles & Responsibilities Include:\n\n * Responsible for programme completion – monitoring progress against programme, taking remedial action where appropriate, protecting the company’s contractual position at all times.\n\n * Management of Health & Safety – to implement and maintain high standards of Health & Safety on site in accordance with the company’s H&S policy and construction phase H&S plan.\n\n * Control of site – to oversee all site activities, being available at all times to deal with any site specific problems or queries.\n\n * Cost Management – to manage the project within budget, safeguarding the company’s financial position at all times.\n\n * Management of all Site Operatives – to manage all staff including the appointment and review of all trade and subcontractors.\n\n * Quality Control – to maintain high standards of quality on each project.\n\n * Client Satisfaction – to develop and maintain good working relationships with design team / client and supply chain.\n\nThe Successful Project Manager:\n\n * It is essential you can demonstrate experience delivering new build residential related schemes with project values up to £10m.\n\n * Relevant CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid Qualifications\n\n * Programme work and has previously used a planning software (Any of Asta, MS Projects, Project Commander)\n\n * Design coordinate with support of the design team based in the head office.\n\n * Able to collate information from his team to prepare and present the project report.\n\n * Sufficient communication skills to deal with members of the public and other pertinent parties\n\n * Sufficient IT, numeracy and literacy skills to fulfil position responsibilities\n\n * Demonstrated knowledge of plant operations, maintenance and capabilities.\n\n * Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety rules, regulations and practices.\n\n * Demonstrated ability to complete all necessary paperwork associated with areas of responsibility
