Job Description
As a Senior Project Manager, you will bring a structured approach, delivery experience and solid best practice to the Thames Valley team. Your strength is in disciplined Project Delivery. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of complex and challenging £multi-million Wastewater Projects, leading and influencing others to deliver success projects.

Join us in this exciting mission and help shape the future of Thames Water and the customers we serve!\n\nAs a Senior Project Manager you will:\n\nBe a client-side Senior Project Manager responsible for the investment from promotion of the business need, through solution definition, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and completion.\nTake overall accountability for project schedule, cost and quality and leading the project team to meet project objectives.\nAdeptly manage a portfolio of projects at different stages of their lifecycle as part of a wider programme of delivery across the Thames Valley.\nEstablish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset.\nWork collaboratively with our external supply chain and driving contractor performance.\nSupport the definition of solutions to meet the project objectives and be responsible for preparing a clear business case and promoting best value proposals to business endorsement.\nEnsure effective liaison with the relevant authorities, and internal and external stakeholders, to ensure smooth running and timely project delivery.\nContribute to steering project-wide continuous improvement and delivering against stretching targets.\nCommercially manage all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome for Thames Water.\nTake accountability for compliance throughout the projects' lifecycles, preparing and promoting clear business cases to maintain governance, and ultimately overseeing smooth transition of the project output into the operational business.\nLead people to build project delivery capability within the overall team and the role can be adapted to those wishing to line manage and to those that would prefer a less formal role in mentoring others.Location: Hybrid basis at Clearwater Court Reading. You will be required to work on-site and in the office 2-3 days a week, depending on the business needs.Salary: from £67,000 to £75,000 per annum*, depending on experience + £5,800 car allowance.Working Hours: 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.*SPM salaries start at £67k but the experience demanded of this role means that you can expect to be paid between £70k and £75k with discretion to pay more for exceptional talent.
