Senior Project Manager\n\nDriver and Vehicle Standards Agency\n\nApply before 11:55 pm on Sunday 4th January 2026\n\n Location: Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Swansea (Hybrid)\n\n Salary: £44,241 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%\n\n Contract Type: Permanent – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time\n\nTo manage the delivery of medium to large projects, major sub-projects of programmes or workstreams within projects. To support Programme Managers with significant and challenging Portfolio activities and to manage Programme and Project Delivery Teams providing specialist support, guidance and hands-on delivery across the DVSA Change Portfolio.\n\nTo understand and champion the use of DVSA’s delivery methodologies, Governance and Assurance across the Change Portfolio, PPM Community and its wide range of stakeholders. To support the Head of Profession with the development and improvement of the Programme and Project Management Community by demonstrating and best practice and shared learning.\n\nTop Responsibilities\n\n * Project Manage medium to large projects to DVSA’s standards following appropriate methodologies in line with Agency Governance and Assurance controls.\n\n * Manage the production of the required products in accordance with agreed Product Descriptions.\n\n * Direct and motivate the project team.\n\n * Plan and monitor the project in line with DVSA Change Bureau standards.\n\nBenefits\n\nBeing part of our brilliant Civil Service means you will have access to a wide range of fantastic benefits:\n\n * Employer pension contribution of 28.97% of your salary.
