Senior Project Manager – Data Centre Solutions – LondonCBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of mechanical, electrical, fabric or construction projects ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to multi‑million pound projects. The role follows the project management process from cradle to grave, ensuring safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets commercial and regulatory requirements.Job PurposeTo lead delivery of SummaryLead teams to the safe delivery of projects.Generate a sales pipeline to deliver revenue to the BU in line with individual financial targets.Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins.Take ownership of the full project lifecycle.Ensure all projects adhere to commercial agreements, statutory regulations, QHSE compliance and technical industry standards.General ActivitiesManage risk and competence for safe delivery.Recruit and retain talent for present delivery and future growth.Identify and specify project opportunities.Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.Ensure projects on all maintenance contracts.Complete projects on time, on budget and to satisfaction of all parties.Identify, reduce and manage risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial).Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.Identify and win projects through effective relationships.Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad‑hoc reporting.Promote and maintain CBRE core values.Business DevelopmentPlan and develop long‑term opportunities by creating a proposal pipeline.Develop and manage all bids, tenders and proposals.Generate and secure new sales to exceed the annual financial plan.Seek opportunities to generate projects through innovation and different technologies.Lead the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings.Building RelationshipsDevelop effective relationships with current and potential customers.Build strong relationships with supply partners.Ensure effective solutions meeting quality expectations.Work with operational managers to collaboratively develop projects business.Work closely with site Contract Managers and Area General Managers to develop opportunities.Develop external networks within the industry.Ensure compliance with project policies and procedures, health and safety, CDM legislation and requirements.Carry out monthly and ad hoc project review meetings covering all aspects of Health & Safety / CDM Legislation and Requirements.Engage with supply partners to appropriately apportion risk.Financial ManagementDevelop project financial plans.Manage monthly P&L and ensure all costs are fully accountable and recoverable.Produce monthly and ad hoc financial reports.Leverage margins by reducing project costs.Ensure positive cash flow and control debt below 60 days.People ManagementRecruit, train, appraise and manage a team of exceptional project delivery specialists.Maintain a people plan at all times.Ensure Project Managers and Project Supervisors are fully trained and equipped.Conduct performance reviews and create individual PDPs.Responsible for recruitment and selection of all project staff and resolution of disciplinary issues.Experience RequiredCommercial awareness, strong financial acumen, influencing, selling and negotiation skills, confident presentation, understanding of commercial and financial metrics, internal and external customer management, networking skills.KnowledgeConstruction market knowledge, project management methodology, Health and Safety law, general financial terminology.ExperienceProven project management experience in an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment.Essential experience in the data centre markets for M&E, Fabric or Whitespace.ICT project management experience also preferable.Experience of developing new project opportunities.Proven experience of running a P&L.Demonstrable evidence of having managed a team.Experience of creating, presenting and managing on bids, tenders and proposals.QualificationsRecognised technical qualification in either a construction, mechanical or electrical discipline.Business standard of written and verbal literacy and above average numeracy skills.Recognised qualification in project management.AptitudeHighly developed interpersonal and communication skills, excellent relationship builder, ability to inspire confidence, challenge status quo, high degree of integrity, highly motivated and self‑aware, highly organised with attention to detail,
