A well-established, independent construction consultancy based in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with strong residential experience to take a leading role on a diverse range of projects across the Midlands. The successful construction Senior Project Manager will be joining a consultancy known for its client-focused approach and strong regional presence. The appointed Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing stakeholders, leading project teams, and ensuring successful delivery across all project stages. This Senior Project Manager role is ideal for someone looking to step into a leadership position within a supportive and expanding consultancy.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of residential and mixed-use developments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The Senior Project Manager will also support the development of junior team members and contribute to business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing residential and mixed-use projects from feasibility to completion

Leading project teams and coordinating consultants and contractors

Acting as the primary client interface

Overseeing project programmes, costs, and risk management

Preparing and presenting detailed project reports

Supporting and mentoring junior staff

The Senior Project Manager

The ideal Senior Project Manager will have a strong consultancy background and proven experience delivering residential schemes, with additional commercial project exposure being advantageous.

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar

MRICS, MAPM or equivalent (or working towards)

Strong residential project experience (essential)

Commercial or mixed-use experience ()

Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
