We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join one of our key clients, to lead the delivery of critical airfield infrastructure projects at Manchester Airport. This contract role will involve overseeing construction projects valued at around £300 million over five years. Successful candidates will demonstrate a robust background in civil engineering and experience in safety-critical environments such as rail, airports, or highways.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage the end-to-end delivery of airfield construction projects, including planning, design coordination, procurement, and execution\nEngage with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project delivery and minimal operational disruption\nAdminister NEC contracts effectively, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting mechanisms\nEnsure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, and compliance with airside regulations\nLead multidisciplinary teams and manage contractor performance to achieve project objectives\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nProven experience delivering complex construction projects in a live operational environment\nStrong knowledge and practical experience with NEC contract management\nAbility to obtain and maintain an airside pass (including background checks and security clearance)\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills\nStrong leadership and decision-making capabilities under operational constraints\n\nDesirable:\n\nPrevious experience working on airport infrastructure projects\nBackground with main contractor delivery or managing Tier 1 contractors\nProfessional qualifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent)\nDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline\nIf you have a strong civil engineering pedigree and are ready to take on a challenging role, we would love to hear from you
