You will lead strategic projects to:\n\n * \n\n Optimise manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness\n\n * \n\n Enhance product quality and ensure smooth, seamless production operations\n\n * \n\n Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, design, and quality teams\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Process Optimisation – Analyse, refine, and audit manufacturing processes\n\n * \n\n Equipment & Tooling – Manage tooling, gauges, fixtures, and machinery\n\n * \n\n New Product Introduction (NPI) – Work with design teams to create efficient production processes\n\n * \n\n Quality Control – Ensure compliance with industry and customer standards\n\n * \n\n Problem Solving – Resolve bottlenecks, defects, and equipment issues\n\n * \n\n Lean & Continuous Improvement – Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies\n\n * \n\n Health & Safety – Maintain a safe working environment and regulatory compliance\n\n * \n\n Cost Reduction – Identify savings without compromising standards\n\n * \n\n Collaboration – Work closely with engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams\n\nThe Candidate\n\nYou are a solutions-focused engineer with strong technical expertise, confident in leading improvement projects.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Qualifications in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or equivalent)\n\n * \n\n 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or production engineering\n\n * \n\n In-depth knowledge of CNC machining, reaming, honing, wire eroding, grinding\n\n * \n\n Familiarity with surface treatments, testing/NDT, forming, moulding, fabrication, and automation\n\n * \n\n CAD/CAM skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)\n\n * \n\n Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems, and quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100)\n\n * \n\n Proven track record in process optimisation and cost-reduction projects\n\nThe Package\n\n * \n\n Up to £48k salary (dependent on experience)\n\n * \n\n Bonus\n\n * \n\n 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday, 36 hours)
