Senior Product Manager
Hybrid - 2 days per week in Central Manchester (Mon & Wed)
About Us
Engage Solutions Group is a UK-based SaaS company focused on solving a real communication challenge inside organisations: how to keep employees and customers connected, informed and part of a community.
We didn’t start in SaaS
The company originally came from print media. But in 2015–16, we made an early pivot into mobile apps as we recognised how quickly everything was moving to smartphones. In 2017, two new owners with strong SaaS backgrounds led the shift towards a product‑led business, and in 2019 we brought in a new Head of Engineering to help shape the modern platform.
Fast forward to today:
Now we work with 60+ customers across sectors like retail, automotive, legal, and professional services, with impressive revenue – all organically grown. We compete with large general‑purpose platforms, but win when organisations want something more focused, practical, and supported by people who genuinely understand their needs.
We’re at a pivotal stage. The product works, the customer base is growing, and design is the biggest opportunity we have to elevate the entire experience.
We’re a Hybrid team
2 days per week in our Manchester City Centre office (Mon & Wed)
The Opportunity
This is our first dedicated Product Manager hire. You won’t be joining an established product function. You’ll be building it.
You’ll work closely with the CTO and engineering leadership to define product strategy, introduce structure to how decisions are made, and create a clear, prioritised roadmap that balances customer needs, commercial goals and technical reality. We’re also looking for someone who actively embraces modern AI tooling and ways of working. Someone who sees AI not as a trend, but as a practical lever to improve how product is discovered, built and delivered. This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, is comfortable operating without heavy process, and is motivated by finding smarter, faster ways to work.
What You’ll Own
You’ll own the full product lifecycle across our platform.
That includes defining product vision and roadmap, leading discovery, and ensuring high‑quality delivery alongside a compact engineering team.
You’ll work directly with customers to understand their needs, running interviews, analysing behaviour and building feedback loops that inform decision making.
You’ll translate insight into clear product requirements, user stories and priorities that engineers can execute against with confidence.
You’ll partner closely with Customer Success and Sales to understand churn risks, expansion opportunities and commercial drivers.
You’ll introduce structure where needed, from prioritisation frameworks to discovery processes and product rituals.
You’ll also look for opportunities to use AI to improve how we work. That might include speeding up research, improving documentation, enhancing insight generation or identifying smarter ways to prioritise and test ideas.
Over time, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the product function scales as the business grows.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 6–12 months, there is clear structure around how product decisions are made.
The roadmap is visible, prioritised and aligned to both customer and commercial outcomes.
Product discovery is consistent and grounded in real user insight rather than assumption.
Engineers have clarity on what is being built and why, with well‑defined requirements and trade‑offs.
Product performance is measurable, with clear KPIs and feedback loops informing iteration.
AI is being used in a modern, practical, grounded way to improve speed, quality and decision making across the product lifecycle.
The product function has moved from reactive delivery to intentional, evidence‑based development.
What we’re looking for
You have strong experience in product management within a B2B SaaS environment (ideally 5+ yrs experience).
You’ve owned the full product lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery and iteration.
You actively use AI tools to improve your own output and effectiveness, and have a mindset of continuously exploring how they can enhance product thinking, research and delivery.
You’re comfortable defining strategy but equally happy getting into the detail with user research, writing specs and working closely with engineers.
You have strong customer discovery skills and know how to turn qualitative and quantitative insight into clear decisions.
You understand technical trade‑offs and can work effectively with engineering teams without needing to be hands‑on technical.
You communicate clearly and can influence stakeholders across different functions and levels.
You’re comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast‑moving, resource‑conscious environment.
You’re curious, adaptable and open to new ways of working as technology evolves.
This Role Is Not For You If
You prefer working within a large, well‑defined product team with established processes already in place.
You want to focus purely on strategy without being involved in hands‑on discovery and delivery.
You need heavy structure, tooling and support before you can be effective.
You’re not comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
You have little interest in evolving how you work through new tools, including AI.
You’re not able to commute to Manchester City Centre twice per week as per our hybrid model.
What’s on offer
Genuinely competitive salary package (full details to be disclosed during interviews)
Unlimited annual leave policy

Other perks: Private Healthcare, Pension Scheme, Gym, cycle store and on‑site shower facilities, Cycle to work scheme, Death in Service, Quarterly release parties & Fantastic summer and Christmas social events
