This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for an engineer with strong hydraulics experience who wants to take responsibility for complex production challenges, not just escalate them. Key Responsibilities:Take ownership of complex production and test failures from initial issue through to root cause and resolutionAct as the technical authority for mechanical and hydraulic system issuesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) as products transition into productionDrive improvements in reliability, manufacturability, and process capabilityInvestigate in-service and returned hardware to identify systemic failuresDevelop and refine assembly and test processes, tooling, and methodsWork cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teamsRequirements:Degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceStrong mechanical engineering background with hands-on hydraulics experience (essential)Experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or production environmentsProven ability to solve complex, real-world engineering problemsExperience supporting NPI or full product lifecycle activitiesAbility to take ownership and drive issues through to resolutionBenefits:Competitive salary + benefits (details available on application)33 days annual leave including bank holidaysEnhanced pensionPrivate medical and wellbeing supportEmployee share schemeHybrid workingClear long-term career progressionAdditional Information: This role offers a high level of technical ownership within a complex, high-integrity aerospace environment.
