We are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Procurement Officer for a Public Sector organisation in London. This role is based on-site 4 days per week. Once settled in the role, there may be some flexibility around this.
In this role you will report to the Head of Procurement. You'll lead and manage procurement operations across the organisation below and above threshold. You'll provide expert advice, ensure legislative compliance, and deliver strategic contract management that aligns with the organisation's mission and values.
Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic procurement initiatives and contract management
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procurement legislation
  • Advise stakeholders on procurement policies, cost estimates, and sourcing
  • Develop supplier relationship and due diligence frameworks
  • Manage high-value and complex procurement exercises
  • Monitor spend dashboards and mitigate risk exposure
  • Train and support staff on procurement processes
  • Maintain contract registers and oversee tendering procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualifications (or working towards)
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven team player with collaborative working experience
