Directs Procurement Manager – Strategic Leadership in Procurement

We’re seeking a Directs Procurement Manager to oversee direct materials procurement across a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term supply chain development.

This is a high-impact role combining operational execution with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to shape procurement practices and influence company-wide performance.

Role Overview:

Lead and develop a team of direct procurement professionals. Establish and manage supplier agreements, SLAs, and KPIs to optimise value and mitigate risk. Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement transformation. Analyse market intelligence to inform procurement decisions. Collaborate across business units to align procurement strategies with operational needs. Champion sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Role requirements:

Proven experience in direct procurement, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors. Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive change. Knowledge of supplier frameworks, contract negotiation, and procurement transformation. CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
