Alongside our branded portfolio, were a leading supplier of delicious own-label pastry, sweet bakery, party food, olives and antipasti, added-value egg products, continental meats, dips and sauces and plant-based food to the UKs major retailers, as well as across foodservice.With over 6,000 talented colleagues across 17 sites, and an annual turnover of £1.3bn, were united by a shared ambition to shape the future of food for the better.Working Hours:Monday Thursday, 8:30am-5pm and Friday: 8:30am-4pmLocation:Ebbw Vale, NP23 5SDOur South Wales operation specialises in chilled dips, houmous, sandwich fillings, toppings and marinadesPurpose:To support in the effective delivery of New Product Development (NPD), Existing Product Development (EPD) and Continuous Improvement across manufacturing sites in line with company and customer category plans.Your Duties Will Include: Delivery of the scale up of products and process agenda within agreed timescales, responsible for all stages of the critical path of projectsOrganise process trials including ingredient and packaging orders, working closely with production and planning teamsLead pre- and post-trial meetings included detailed paperwork for every trial.Lead the Process teams to move product from kitchen to factory, ensuring all aspects of product quality and food safety are metValidations including nutritional, shelf-life, pack weight, sensory and organolepticSupport the Process Manager in the innovation agenda at site taking key role in feasibility meetings and costing builds.Lead process team documentation to support product development to an auditable standardLead the launch of product to agreed standards and review products post-launchUnderstand and drive proactive process development initiatives which push production boundariesSupport the organising of customer visits, sample sending and benchmarking panelsPromote health and safety culture by following all H&S requirements during kitchen and process development workLine management support to Junior Process Technologists and deputise for Process Development Manager when required.Experience: HND/Degree in food based/manufacturing subject (desirable)Process Development experienceStrong food manufacturing experience within an FMCG environmentHACCP / Food Safety TrainingKey Skills: Planning, organisation and project managementCommunicating at different levels of seniorityPresentation skillsTrial running / data analysisIdentifying solutionsGood computing skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and TeamsQualities: A passion for food - product tasting is required across multiple categoriesProblem solvingEnthusiasm to learn and growSelf-MotivatedFlexible attitudeA team player with well-developed interpersonal skillsWhy Join Us?At The Compleat Food Group, we believe our people are the heart of our success.
