Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity with a leading independent transport planning consultancy that puts its people in driver's seat. Operating as an Employee Ownership Trust, this business is run for the benefit of its staff, meaning you can help shape the company’s success and future direction.
They are looking to strengthen their team with a Senior or Principal Consultant. Whether you are an experienced Senior Planner ready to step up, or an established Principal looking for more autonomy, this is a chance to join a growing team with a clear vision to expand.

The Role
Your responsibilities will be tailored to your experience level, but you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality transport planning advice.
Project Delivery: Manage or support the day-to-day operations of projects, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Impact Assessments.
Technical Authority: Act as a technical lead on junction modeling and analysis, ensuring high standards of work.
Mentorship: Help develop the next of planners by mentoring junior staff and overseeing their technical development.
Client & Commercial: For Principal level – manage budgets and proposals. For Senior level – support business development and begin leading client interactions.
Ideal Candidate
Experience: A flexible range of 3 to 8 years’ experience in transport or development planning.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard modeling software (PICADY, ARCADY, LinSig) and a solid understanding of transport planning principles.
Attributes: Good technical writing skills, the ability to manage your own time, and a desire to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
