Think Recruitment are currently working with a busy consultancy who are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer at Senior or Principal level.\n\nWorking with a talented team of Chartered, mid-level and graduate engineers our clients Structures Division are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to support the Structures Team in their Nottingham Office. The successful candidate will have sound experience in a wide variety of Structural Engineering projects and have experienced complex and challenging structural designs from conception to completion.\n\nWorking on a broad range of structural projects, this high performing team of professionals are looking for an engineer who is aspiring to be a technically excellent design engineer working on a diverse and generally challenging range of projects, incorporating bespoke new build structures, refurbishment and heritage works.\n\nTo be considered for this role you will ideally have:\n\nMinimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent\nAt least 5 years post qualification experience in civil and structural engineering\nFull UK driving license and own transport\nChartered or near-chartered status with a relevant body (MICE or MIStructE)\nExperience in surveying and refurbishment\nGood structural forensic and analytical skills\nExperienced in masonry, timber, steel and concrete design\nDetailed knowledge of structural design and detailing using all relevant UK and European codes of practiceOn a day to day basis, in this exciting role you will be responsible for:\n\nProducing preliminary design solutions and reviewing with clients as part of design strategy\nProducing detailed designs, calculations and specifications and technical reviews\nAttendance at design, project progress, and client engagement meetings\nLiaising with contractors, clients, third party organisations and stakeholders, answering queries in relation to technical detailing\nDesign in all forms of construction including steelwork, reinforced / precast concrete, masonry and timber\nStructural appraisals of commercial, industrial and residential structures\nManagement of projects cost and programme\nManagement of sustainability criteria\nComplying with designers' duties under the CDM Regulations\nProduce sketches, drawings and writing structural appraisal reportOur client value and promote a positive work-life balance and in addition to an attractive salary also offer an annual profit share, dependent on profits, but averages at 2.5% of salary, annual salary reviews, AXA private healthcare, relocation , stakeholder pension, professional subscriptions, professional exam fees, engineering training courses, CPDs, workshops and mentoring etc, so if you feel this role is for you, or to discuss your next career move in more detail, please call or apply today
