Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to work on high-quality, architecturally ambitious projects, while taking on greater responsibility in delivery and team development?
A highly respected and award-winning civil & structural engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior / Principal Civil Design Engineer into its central London office. With around 170 employees across a number of UK offices, the business combines capability with a collaborative, design-focused culture at team level.

This consultancy is recognised for its work on complex, design-led building projects, collaborating with leading architects to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
You'll be working on a wide range of schemes including:

\nThe Role\n
As a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in both technical delivery and project leadership.
Responsibilities will include:

\n
Leading the design of drainage, site development and external works packages\n
\n
Developing SuDS strategies and sustainable infrastructure solutions\n
\n
Supporting projects from concept through to construction delivery\n
\n
Working closely with architects to develop innovative and buildable solutions\n
\n
Reviewing and overseeing technical outputs
\n
Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
\n
Managing client relationships and coordinating project delivery
\n
\nWhat We're Looking For\n
\n
Strong experience in civil engineering design, particularly within development or building-focused projects\n
\n
Experience in drainage, levels and external works design\n
\n
Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D\n
\n
Experience working within a consultancy environment\n
\n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
\nFor Principal-Level Candidates:\n

Experience leading projects and managing delivery
\n
Ability to review and oversee technical design
\n
Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
\n
Commercial awareness and contribution to business growth
