Our client, a prestigious financial institution, seeks a senior policy adviser to lead policy development and strategic initiatives that shape the future of retail investment markets across the UK and EU. This role will focus particularly on customer communications and advice, investment product wrappers and conduct of business regulation within the retail sector.

Key responsibilities will include developing policy and advocating on UK and EU regulatory proposals, including drafting policy briefings, consultation responses, and stakeholder updates for internal and external audiences. You will stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments, providing insights to inform retail strategy, and monitor the retail and wealth market to build an understanding of the current environment and to support policy position and development.

We are open to candidates from a wide range of professional backgrounds and are looking for someone who is passionate about consumer investments; a confident communicator, who can work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver several fast paced and high-profile projects. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience developing, interpreting, or advising on regulatory and policy matters relating to retail investment or wealth markets, with a track record of engaging policymakers, regulators, or senior industry stakeholders.
