Senior Planner\n\nLocation: Heathrow Airport\n\nReport to: Planning Lead\n\nThe role\n\nFerrovial Construction is looking for an experienced Planner to support on major infrastructure projects in the UK.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Responsible for preparing a portfolio/programme of Projects for the purpose of updating monthly the Reporting Baseline (RB) with the instructions PMIs / implemented CEs.\n\n * Responsible for preparing a portfolio/programme of Projects for monthly Progress Programme including narrative, project performance analysis, critical path, programme integration activities according to the Contract requirements across scope, time, risk, schedule updates, opportunities for improvement.\n\n * Coordinate all external parties involved in the progress process (commercials, planners, section leads and site agents) to ensure a realistic programme logic is in place.\n\n * Act as an expert planner and scheduler.\n\n * Use professionally Primavera P6 and familiar with cost loading programme.\n\n * Manage and ensure earned value management.\n\n * Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, sub-contractors and other external contacts.\n\nSkills and Competence:\n\nWe are looking for candidates with:\n\n * Previous experience as a senior planner for large scale projects.\n\n * Experience of working on planning management systems within civil and electrical-mechanical engineering projects.\n\n * Experience in using Primavera P6 and CEMAR (Contract / Change management).\n\n * Understanding of NEC4contracts.\n\n * Excellent Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.\n\n * Ability to perform assignments independently with supervision and guidance as required.\n\n * Ability to deliver timely high-quality reports.\n\n * Good level of proactivity and a problem-solving attitude.\n\n * Good relationship skills with the other departments / functions.\n\n * Good knowledge on measuring civil engineering works\n\nPlease note that this job description does not represent a comprehensive list of activities and employees may be requested to undertake other reasonable duties.\n\nHeathrow Airport\n\nFerrovial Construction has been working at Heathrow Airport for over 18 years delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects to high quality, safety and environmental standards. We have focused on design and build projects with a mix of contractual arrangements. This has enabled us to refine our management procedures in response to Heathrow’s Employers Requirements and Ferrovial Construction own internal management systems.\n\nSince joining Heathrow’s framework, Ferrovial Construction has delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the whole airport.

For example, we have delivered new taxiways and rehabilitated existing taxiways and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets, such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets with expired design life’s and plan for a future runway resurfacing project.
