Inc. Consulting is delighted to be supporting a business in Grimsby in their search for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer. This is a key role within a small Payroll team and will involve managing multiple end-to-end payrolls.
Role Responsibilities Manage all aspects of payroll, including processing starters and leavers, timesheet analysis, holiday pay calculations, statutory sick/maternity pay (SSP/SMP), HMRC submissions, and Payroll Year End obligations. Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including overtime, shift allowances, statutory payments, and National Minimum Wage. Administer the pension scheme in line with Auto Enrolment and pension legislation. Respond to payroll queries relating to tax, NI, pension, and Auto Enrolment. Set up new payrolls and extract/prepare information from time recording systems. Design reports and upload information into payroll systems. Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues or errors. Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required. Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
