The successful Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer will lead the design, analysis, and delivery of complex electrical systems across a diverse range of built environment projects, combining technical excellence with strong leadership and collaboration.\n This role offers the opportunity to work closely with integrated design teams on high-quality, sustainable, and innovative projects across multiple sectors.\n\nWhy join?\nAlongside a collaborative, purpose-driven working environment, you will be offered:\n\nMarket competitive salary (regularly reviewed and updated)\nFlexible, hybrid working arrangements tailored to individuals and teams\nSupportive culture focused on learning, collaboration, and long-term development\nStructured support towards Incorporated or Chartered status\nOngoing CPD, Lunch & Learn sessions, and knowledge-sharing across disciplines\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nAs a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer, you would lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practice\nPrepare, review, and approve detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations\nUndertake feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments to inform design decisions\nCollaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, civil and structural engineers, sustainability specialists, and contractors to deliver coordinated project solutions\nProvide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers, ensuring consistent quality and professional development\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes and regulations (IEEE, NEC, IEC, and local building regulations)\nParticipate in site inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities\nIdentify and implement opportunities for energy efficiency, low-carbon design, and renewable energy integration\nManage project programmes, budgets, and resources effectively\nActively work towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status\nContribute to internal CPD initiatives, including Lunch & Learns, and maintain a personal Development Action Plan\nDemonstrate behaviours aligned with the practice’s values and contribute to its continued growth and progression\n\nSkills & experience\n\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)\nChartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards professional registration\nMinimum 5+ years’ experience in electrical building services design and project delivery\nProficiency in industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation software\nStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nProven experience leading projects and working within multidisciplinary teams\nGood understanding of BIM processes and collaborative digital workflows
