This Senior Operations Manager position is working for an established and respected business that specialise in delivering solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and wider electrical contracting services to the UK commercial and residential sector. They are value-driven and delivery-focused, and this hire forms a pivotal part of the company’s growth plans.
You will lead and evolve the operational side of the business with full responsibility for the delivery of projects, management of engineering teams, and oversight of pre-installation, post-installation, and compliance functions.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage engineering schedules, resource allocation and delivery timelines
• Ensure safe, compliant, high-quality installations
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable processes
Due to the location of the office this role would suit someone living in or near to Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire or Buckinghamshire.
To apply you must have experience working in a senior operations role within the renewable energy or electrical contracting sector with hands-on experience leading field -based engineering / site teams and admin/compliance staff within a fast-paced solar PV, battery, or EV install SME.
As well as having strong understanding of electrical standards, renewables regulations, and delivery cycles and experience overseeing pre-construction planning, compliance, and post-install support and proven ability to run multiple projects concurrently while improving operational efficiency.
Any electrical qualifications or familiarity with ISO standards, H&S protocols, or job management platforms would be beneficial but not essential.
On offer is a competitive salary plus a quarterly profit share bonus and either a car allowance or an electric company car plus 3% pension contribution and 20 days plus bank holidays increasing with service.
