The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and direction for the team, promote a positive, high‑performance working environment, and deliver an excellent service for our Lender Clients. The role will be accountable to the Partner but will have autonomy in managing operations and delivery, including people management and resource planning. It requires excellent industry knowledge, strong stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and experience in a legal or regulated environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead the Lender Finance Team, managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to service level agreements. Monitor departmental financial targets and report performance to the senior partner or Lender Finance Partner. Implement and refine processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and customer experience. Distribute workload effectively and plan resources across the team. Monitor performance indicators and service levels to identify improvements. Collaborate with the Partner to identify opportunities for the department. Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Represent the department and act as a firm‑wide role model.
Skills & Experience
Proven leadership experience within a legal environment, either as a qualified solicitor leading a large team or as a non‑qualified leader of a high‑performing team in a regulated environment. Ability to model outstanding behaviours to drive a high‑performance culture. Demonstrated change leadership, independent decision‑making and strong guidance at all levels. Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to achieving goals. Commercial and financial awareness and proactive mindset. Excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and a true team ethos.
