Career-defining moments ahead.Fueled by bold ambitionPlay your part in getting us on the grid.Closing Date: 3rd April 2026 ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Model Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the physical components that feed our aerodynamic development—the very foundation of on-track performance. Working at the heart of our Silverstone facility, you’ll be part of a highly skilled, ambitious group of engineers focused on technical excellence and relentless innovation. Your work will directly influence car performance in the wind tunnel, translating design into data, and ultimately into lap time.Deliver high-quality, well-validated parts for wind tunnel testing in line with aerodynamic targetsLead complete design projects, including CAD creation, project management, quality-checking, and documentationContinuously improve the functionality, quality, and robustness of model parts to optimize wind tunnel test efficiencyDrive the development and implementation of improved design workflows and standardsCollaborate closely with Aerodynamicists and Surface Design Engineers to ensure alignment with technical specificationsMentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team capability and modeling best practicesEnsure adherence to standard design practices and help refine them as needed RequirementsDriven by high performanceWhat do you need to bring to the team?Degree in Engineering, Design, Motorsport, or a related discipline or equivalentExpert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA) and experience in using FEA for structural validation of partsStrong understanding of parametric modeling, part robustness, and model layout principlesSolid knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including composites and advanced digital manufacturing techniquesDeep understanding of GD&T and its application and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsEnthusiastic contributor to a collaborative, inclusive, and open culture and highly detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering work right the first timeWilling to travel and work flexible hours during race season About the Cadillac Formula 1 TeamThe Cadillac Formula 1® Team challenges conventions and redefines success through bold ambition, cutting-edge innovation, and an unwavering commitment to precision and excellence—on and off the track.
