Senior Mechanical Project Manager

London

£85,000–£110,000 + Travel + Package

An established and growing M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to deliver commercial fit-out and infrastructure projects across London.

This role offers the opportunity to lead fast-track projects with M&E values ranging from £2m–£10m, working alongside leading main contractors on high-profile commercial schemes. The position provides a clear pathway into senior leadership and Director roles within a progressive and expanding business.


Role Overview

You will take overall responsibility for the mechanical delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. The role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead project teams on fast-paced commercial programmes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical delivery on commercial fit-out and infrastructure projects
  • Manage project teams, subcontractors, and specialist supply chain partners
  • Coordinate closely with main contractors, consultants, and client teams
  • Oversee programme management to ensure delivery on fast-track schedules
  • Manage project budgets, variations, and commercial performance in collaboration with the commercial team
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and quality standards
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and project handover including documentation


Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager within the UK M&E sector
  • Strong background delivering commercial fit-out or infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing M&E project values between £2m–£10m
  • Experience working with leading main contractors on London projects
  • Strong commercial and programme management capability
  • SMSTS and CSCS (Manager level) preferred
