Senior Mechanical Maintenance EngineerLocation: Mildenhall, Suffolk (Onsite)Salary: £40,000£50,000Type: Full-time, PermanentMy client, a specialist manufacturing company based in Mildenhall, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining production machinery, equipment, and facilities across multiple local sites, ensuring operations run efficiently and safely.The successful candidate will play a key role in diagnosing faults, carrying out mechanical repairs, and supporting ongoing improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance processes.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair production machinery and ancillary equipmentDiagnose mechanical faults and carry out breakdown repairsStrip down machinery to replace worn or damaged components (e.g. bearings, conveyor belts)Support external service engineers and contractors during site visitsMaintain facilities across multiple local sitesRecord and track maintenance activities using maintenance management softwareIdentify opportunities for improvements and cost reductionsProvide general maintenance support across the wider business when requiredRequirements510 years experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical aptitude with experience dismantling and repairing machineryExperience using general workshop machinery and toolsWelding and fabrication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solvingFlexibility to occasionally work outside normal hours when requiredThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business and play a key role in maintaining critical production equipment and facilities.JBRP1_UKTJ
