Job Description
Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will get to tackle diverse, real-world challenges from the ground up. This will involve going through the whole product life cycle. The successful mechanical engineer will capture requirements; design, develop, document, test, and deliver through to production.
My client’s wide variety of projects, from proof-of-concept through to working prototypes, provide both intellectual and practical challenges.
Using SolidWorks the successful mechanical engineer will create and evolve a wide range of designs from products, assembly jigs, test equipment and instrumentation. There will also be opportunities to present proposed solutions through sketches, animations, and renderings as part of the build, testing and troubleshooting process.
Requirements / Nice to have:
SolidWorks experience and knowledge of other CAD packages such as Catia, Creo or AutoCAD. Thermal modelling & simulation experience. Design experience for integration with PCBs. CAD design for manufacturing, welding & fabrication. Exceptional academic background.
Package:
13% pension (10% employer & 3% personal). £20,000 relocation package for candidates who aren't already local. Salary up to £85,000 + bonus. Private medical insurance for you and family. Free lunch provided on site. 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
Key details:
Onsite, Cambridge. Candidates must be British with no dual . No security clearance is needed to apply - the client will do either SC or DV for you. 2 stage interview process.
