Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Leicester
Location: Leicester
Position: Permanent | Full-Time

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking R&D team, playing a key role in the design, validation, and delivery of advanced systems and products.
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
Own the design and validation of mechanical subassemblies from concept to production.
Define mechanical performance specifications from system requirements.
Deliver design reviews, supporting manufacturing, assembly, and service introduction.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations and business development.
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ experience in end-to-end product design.
Strong track record in product design and small mechanisms.
Knowledge of drives, controls, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in Solidworks/CAD and MS Office.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and practical engineering skills.
