Mechanical Design Engineer\n\nSome design jobs are about drawing parts.\n\nThis one is about designing complex machines that end up operating all over the world.\n\nA global engineering manufacturer is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team developing specialist electro-mechanical equipment used across multiple industries.\n\nYou’ll work alongside Electrical, Systems and Software engineers to turn real customer requirements into robust, manufacturable products.\n\nWhat you'll be doing\n\n• Designing mechanical assemblies and sheet metal structures in 3D CAD\n • Packaging electrical systems into practical mechanical solutions\n • Working closely with electrical and systems engineers to develop complete products\n • Producing drawings, models and accurate Bills of Materials\n • Supporting suppliers and prototype builds\n • Solving the engineering challenges that appear between concept and production\n\nUseful background\n\n• SolidWorks design experience\n • Sheet metal or welded assembly design\n • Experience packaging electrical equipment or control panels\n • Understanding of BOM structures and manufacturing documentation\n • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience\n\nYou’ll suit this role if you enjoy practical engineering — where your work turns into real machines, not just CAD files.\n\nBenefits include pension, sick pay, employee perks and on-site parking
