Senior Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer - Birmingham\n\nSalary: £55,000-£70,000 + per annum DOE\n Location: Birmingham\n Contract: Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a great team in Birmingham. You will be working for a well-established mechanical building services consultancy and contractor, delivering high-quality design solutions across commercial, fit-out, and building services projects.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from office and retail fit-outs to larger commercial developments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage mechanical design projects from concept to detailed working drawings.\nProduce accurate calculations for LTHW, CHW, ventilation, air conditioning, ductwork, and pipework.\nUse Autodesk Revit (essential) to create design models and coordinate with other disciplines.\nUtilise design software such as Hevacomp and TAS.\nEnsure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.\nCollaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to overall team development.Essential Requirements\n\nProven experience in mechanical building services design, ideally in commercial or fit-out projects.\nStrong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects under deadlines.\nDegree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.\nExperience producing calculations across LTHW, CHW, ventilation, AC, ductwork, and pipework.Desirable Skills\n\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD alongside Revit.\nExperience in commercial fit-out or building services projects.\nKnowledge of Hevacomp and TAS software.To apply please contact Coral at DCS\n\nINDENG\n\nDCS Recruitment and all associated companies are committed to creating a working environment where is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly, regardless of , , disability, ethnic origin, religion or belief, , marital or transgender status, , or
