Essential:
Proven experience in PCV/HGV maintenance, inspection and diagnosis Irtec Qualification in Maintenance & Inspection or equivalent Ability to manage and work effectively as part of a small team Strong work ethic, reliable, flexible with a can-do attitude Good IT literacy for checking records and inputting data during inspection and maintenance Flexibility towards tasks and hours Desirable:
A PCV Licence Effective/experienced in using diagnostic equipment The Role
Inspect PCV vehicles (makes include Mercedes, Scania, Volvo, etc.), diagnose and rectify faults, and ensure all vehicle documentation is complete Mentoring junior fitters to increase skill level and ability to inspect vehicles and rectify faults competently Maintaining digital records of all rectification, inspection and maintenance Ensuring all repair and maintenance activities comply with legislation/regulation and best practice Ensuring labour time and parts used are assigned to the appropriate vehicle/budget. Ensuring vehicle defects are rectified effectively and efficiently by utilising stock parts. Identifying and communicating repeat stock requirements to the Stock Controller. Liaising with the Vehicle Preparation team to ensure all vehicles in for inspection are steam cleaned and chassis painted. Identifying any personal training requirements and attending any training required to fulfil your duties effectively and efficiently Following the Company Health and Safety policy and working safely and tidily Reporting any defects relating to tools, plant or machinery Working positively as a team member by sharing knowledge, supporting and mentoring others Covering out-of-hours emergencies and peaks as part of the on-call team Certificate of Sponsorship
