We are working with a well respected medium sized M&E contractor with a strong presence delivering across the commercial, healthcare and life science sectors for leading main contractors who are looking for a senior MEP planner to join their London business unit. Reporting to a planning lead who is based in Ireland you will act as the sole planner for the London business unit across 3-4 schemes simultaneously.
The Senior M&E Project Planner is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical projects. This role involves developing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget. The Senior M&E Project Planner will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for M&E projects using project management software.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and timelines.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules as necessary to reflect changes in scope, timelines, and resources.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to project managers and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues that arise.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners and other team members
