Role: Senior Marketing Manager (Strategy & Campaign Leadership)

Location: Harlow – On-site

Salary: Up to £60k


A leading retail brand to appoint a Senior Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping their next phase of growth. This is a high-impact, strategic position leading a team of 8+ within a fast-paced, ambitious marketing function.


This role is less about hands-on delivery and more about setting direction, driving performance, and leading people. You’ll oversee the development and execution of the marketing strategy, ensuring all campaigns, channels, and initiatives are aligned to wider commercial objectives across retail and ecommerce.


You’ll sit at the heart of the business, working closely with senior stakeholders across ecommerce, digital, trading, and brand to deliver cohesive, insight-led marketing that drives measurable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the overarching marketing strategy, aligning campaign activity with business goals across retail and ecommerce channels
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 8+ marketers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
  • Oversee the annual marketing and promotional calendar, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritisation, and effective delivery
  • Provide strategic oversight of all campaign activity, guiding teams on execution rather than being hands-on
  • Work closely with ecommerce and digital teams to ensure integrated, customer-first journeys across all touchpoints
  • Drive a strong social media and content direction, ensuring it supports brand positioning and commercial outcomes (without direct day-to-day management)
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate commercial objectives into impactful marketing plans
  • Ensure robust performance tracking, reporting, and optimisation, using data to inform strategic decisions
  • Oversee relationships with agencies and partners, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong ROI
  • Champion innovation, identifying new opportunities for brand growth across channels


Ideal Background

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, with responsibility for strategy and team management
  • Strong background within retail, ecommerce, or consumer brands
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams (8+ people)
  • Excellent understanding of multi-channel marketing, including digital and social media strategy
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and commercial level, influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong track record of delivering growth through integrated marketing campaigns
  • Highly organised, with a focus on prioritisation, delegation, and performance management
