In this role, you will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications, Engineering Services. The role is part of the Marketing & Digital Communications Center of Expertise (COE), working collaboratively with other COEs (Brand, Creative Design, External Communications, Internal Communications) and the UK&I Communications & Marketing Business Partner. The Senior Manager, Marketing Communications is responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing communication strategies that enhance brand awareness, support business objectives, and drive engagement across multiple channels. Your work will directly contribute to organic business growth through major bid positioning, inorganic growth via mergers & acquisitions, brand positioning, and attracting and retaining talent across the UK&I Engineering Services sector. To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of the global Engineering Services market and the built environment, the markets AtkinsRéalis works within, including its competitive and client landscape. You will be able to provide Marketing Communications best‑practice guidance and support to the Marketing teams across UK&I, leveraging global and regional synergies, content and resources while ensuring all campaigns land appropriately for each targeted audience. Your role
Contribute Marketing and Digital Communications expertise to UK&I business plans in partnership with Business Partners and COEs, aligned to regional growth priorities. Ensure consistent messaging and content across UK&I markets, aligned with global messaging and market narratives. Leverage market insights, customer feedback, and perceptions to differentiate marketing activities, driving brand positioning, business objectives, and market growth. Lead the delivery of integrated marketing and digital communications campaigns across UK&I, including digital, social media, thought leadership, client assets, podcasts, and events, tailored to local markets and audiences. Oversee UK&I digital marketing activities (paid media, social, email, marketing automation, SEO/SEM, and web content), ensuring alignment with global governance, standards, and KPIs. Collaborate closely with business development, market teams, subject matter experts, and the regional Growth Office to articulate client value propositions and support major pursuits. Support inorganic growth initiatives by partnering with the M&A team to deliver effective marketing communications that position and integrate newly acquired businesses. Manage marketing communications resources, budgets, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective delivery, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
About You
Strategic marketing communications leader with the ability to think big‑picture and align initiatives with broader company objectives across markets. Proven experience leading and scaling high‑performing marketing communications teams, driving best practices, continuous improvement, and talent development. Demonstrated success in global or multi‑region roles within matrixed organizations, including effective collaboration with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders. Highly collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working independently and with cross‑functional teams across geographies, cultures, and management levels. Strong people management skills with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead both direct and indirect reports, including remote teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and cross‑cultural engagement skills, with full fluency in English and expertise in localization strategies. Strong project, event, and stakeholder management capabilities, with a data‑driven mindset to measure performance and maximize ROI in deadline‑driven environments. Creative, proactive, and detail‑oriented professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
