We’re working with a major infrastructure organisation looking to bring in a Senior Legal Operations Manager (12-month contract) to sit at the centre of their legal transformation agenda.

This is not a reporting role, and it’s not a pure data position. There has been significant investment in legal technology, and the focus now is on how the legal function actually operates — embedding better processes, improving visibility on external counsel, and driving more efficient, scalable ways of working. The role will play a key part in shaping that.

You’ll be responsible for:

• driving improvements across legal processes, workflows and operating model
• supporting external counsel strategy, including spend visibility and performance insight
• optimising the use of legal tech platforms (e-billing, matter management, AI tools)
• using data to inform decision-making, rather than simply reporting on it
• helping embed automation and AI into day-to-day legal delivery

This role sits at the intersection of legal operations, technology and data, and requires someone who can translate insight into practical change within a legal team.

We’re looking for:

• experience within legal operations or working closely with in-house legal teams
• strong data capability, with the ability to derive and apply insight
• exposure to e-billing / outside counsel management and legal tech platforms
• someone comfortable operating in a transformation or change environment
