About the Role

New fixed-term contract opportunity to work as part of the Global Solutions Team of a leading Investment Manager to contribute to the growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• To provide support with the day-to-day legal queries which arise within the UK business.
• Assisting with the drafting and negotiating of onboarding documentation, transition agreements, third-party fund provider agreements, life policies and a wide range of commercial agreements related to the UK global solutions business.
• Overseeing the negotiation of NDAs, DPAs, linking agreements and trademark agreements.
• Review new laws and regulations and assess the impact on the business.
• Advise on the legal and regulatory environment and keep up to date with changes.
• Working with other departments within the wider global legal team.
• Liaise with external counsel as needed.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• Qualified Lawyer or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5+ post-qualification relevant work experience, ideally working in a law firm or financial services organisation.
• Commercially minded.
• General understanding of the laws applicable to UK pensions and retail products.
• Ability to advise on regulations relating to pension and retail products.
• Knowledge of tax and data protection.
• Knowledge of corporate and general commercial law would be beneficial for this role.
• Pro-active team player.
• Good drafting skills.
• Project management and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal.
