Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer – 12 Month FTCGlasgow – Hybrid – Competitive salary VIQU is working with a leading professional services organisation seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Server Engineer to support a Microsoft-focused hybrid environment (on-prem & cloud). This is a hands-on role involving BAU support, automation, and infrastructure projects.What You'll Be Doing as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer: Supporting and maintaining critical Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory and Windows Server estatesManaging hybrid environments that integrate on-prem systems with Azure and Microsoft 365Working with identity and access technologies such as ADFS, SSO, and Entra IDMaintaining and improving virtualised environments (VMware) and enterprise storage platforms (e.g. Dell EMC, HPE, vSAN)Writing and enhancing scripts to automate routine tasks and improve efficiencyContributing to resilient infrastructure design, including clustering and high-availability solutionsFollowing established IT service management practices (incident, change, and problem management)Partnering with internal teams to deliver upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure projects What We're Looking For as Senior Infrastructure / Server Engineer: Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience (Windows Server 2016–2022, AD)Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365Knowledge of Entra ID and modern identityVMware or similar virtualisation experienceScripting skills (PowerShell or equivalent)Solid networking fundamentalsExperience in ITIL or structured environments Apply today to speak with VIQU in confidence or contact Fay Toomey via the VIQU website.
