Senior HR Business Partner

12 Month FTC - To start in April

North Yorkshire - Hybrid - 3 days onsite


Elevation HR are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner for a 12 month FTC to support manufacturing operations.


This is a strategic, high-impact role in a heavily unionised environment. A critical part of the position is leading complex Industrial Relations activity. You must have proven, hands-on experience managing and driving Trade Union negotiations at a senior level.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders and executive teams, aligning HR strategy to business objectives
  • Leading Industrial Relations strategy and day-to-day activity across manufacturing
  • Driving complex Trade Union negotiations, consultations and bargaining discussions
  • Managing organisational change and ensuring strong engagement throughout
  • Influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders to improve performance and culture
  • Line managing and developing a HR Business Partner


What we’re looking for:

  • Significant HR experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
  • Deep Industrial Relations expertise, with a strong track record of high-stakes union negotiations and dispute resolution (essential)
  • Experience delivering strategic change initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Confident presenting at senior and executive level
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent) with up-to-date UK employment law knowledge
  • Comfortable using data and digital tools to inform decision-making
