Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5‑axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To‑date, we have manufactured components for Rolls‑Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand our machining capabilities over the coming year. Provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation. Support and manage employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues. Prepare documentation, attend meetings, and ensure fair and consistent processes are followed. Coach line managers to handle employee issues effectively and confidently.
HR Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection requirements. Support recruitment processes including job design, advertising, interviewing, and selection. Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new starter documentation and exit interviews. Assist with payroll processes by supplying relevant HR data (e.g., absences, changes to terms). Prepare HR reports and metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Performance & Development
Support the delivery of performance review cycles and ensure consistency across departments. Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning and development activities. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and wellbeing.
Policy & Compliance
Ensure HR policies are up to date and aligned with current employment law and best practice. Support the development and implementation of HR procedures, toolkits, and guidance materials. Contribute to HR audits, compliance reviews, and risk mitigation activities.
Projects & HR Initiatives
Support or lead on HR projects such as employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, culture development, or process improvements. Work collaboratively with the wider management team to deliver HR strategy and organisational goals. Contribute to ensuring a safe & healthy working environment. Promote environmentally friendly practices and sustainability initiatives within the workplace, and complete mandatory ESH-related training and certifications. Undertake other duties that may be associated with your role.
The Person
Highly motivated individual. Excellent attention to detail. CIPD Level 5 or working towards is desirable. Previous experience as a HR Advisor. Ability to manage own time and workload effectively. Excellent communication skills. Employment law knowledge. Professional integrity and confidentiality. Proactive and solution-focused approach.
