We are excited to announce the opening of a new, high-end Japanese dining destination in the heart of Mayfair this spring, and we are looking for an experienced Head Host to lead our guest experience team.
This internationally acclaimed concept has built a reputation for Japanese haute cuisine , combining meticulous technique with the finest ingredients. Originating in Spain and now present in cities such as Madrid, Dubai, Monaco and Abu Dhabiwhere it has earned Michelin recognitionthe brand is known for its precision, creativity, and elegant approach to modern Japanese dining.
Our Mayfair opening represents the next evolution of the concept: a flagship experience defined by refined design, discreet luxury, and a menu centred around seasonal, sustainably sourced ingredients. Guests can expect standout dishes such as expertly prepared bluefin tuna, delicate sushi and sashimi, robata-grilled selections, and contemporary plates that balance tradition with innovation.
The Role
As Head Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and a key ambassador for the brand. You will lead the reservations and reception team, ensuring a seamless, warm, and highly personalised arrival and departure experience while maintaining exceptional organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the host/reception team, setting the tone for service excellence
Oversee reservations, table allocation, and guest flow to maximise the dining experience
Deliver a warm, polished, and professional welcome to all guests
Manage VIP bookings and special requests with discretion and attention to detail
Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
Work closely with the management and floor teams to ensure smooth service
Maintain accurate records of guest preferences and profiles
What Were Looking For
Previous experience as a Head Host in a premium or fine dining environment
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
A natural flair for hospitality with a calm and confident presence
High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Experience with reservation systems (e.g. OpenTable, SevenRooms) is highly desirable
