Senior Groundworks Estimator

We are currently recruiting for a well-established civils subcontractor specialising in groundworks and RC frame delivery across London and the South East, and they’re looking to bring in a Senior Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team.

This is a business with a strong pipeline of secured work, delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use developments, typically working alongside leading developers and main contractors.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in pricing and securing work across a range of groundworks and reinforced concrete packages, taking schemes from enquiry through to handover.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing detailed cost estimates for groundworks and RC frame packages
Producing take-offs and Bills of Quantities
Reviewing drawings, specs, and tender documentation
Value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams
Supporting bid strategy and commercial positioning

What They’re Looking For

Strong background in groundworks and RC frame estimating
Proven track record pricing projects from £5m–£50m+
Confident working with drawings and technical specifications
Commercially aware with a sharp eye for risk and opportunity
Experience working with developers and main contractors
