Are you a senior geotechnical design engineer with experience of working on major infrastructure projects? \n  \nAre you looking for your next outside IR35 contract? \n  \nRate: £350-£425 a day outside IR35 \nLocation: Birmingham office 3 days a week - 2 from home \nContract length: Initial 6 months with likely extensions \n  \nOverview: \nThe role requires a senior engineer to lead a team of engineers/graduates to support in managing the Geotechnical Construction Phase Support (CPS) on the HS2 route.

The role will require managing the team delivering the Geotechnical CPS scope within a design area liaising with the technical lead and reporting to the Geotechnical CPS Discipline lead. \n  \nThe role requires co-locating in the client's construction site offices on the eastern side of Birmingham at least 3 days per week. \n  \nIn this role you will be supporting the contractor/ client on site managing issues that have arisen on site and supporting in validating design assumptions.

\n\nResponsibilities: \nWorking in collaboration with our designers and contract partners, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be involved in a variety of tasks such as: \n  \n·Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) - Secondary Assurance/Check \n·Field Change Requests (FCRs)- Technical Support \n·Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) \n·Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M) \n·Manage the undertaking of earthworks and geotechnical data logging \n·Geotechnical Feedback Report (GFR)
