Effective communication is an attribute we care deeply about, as an engineer you and your team will move in a fast-paced engineering environment to achieve outstanding results.What You Will Be DoingYou will contribute to business-critical acquisition journeys for cards and loans, building and enhancing high-traffic, customer-facing websites and campaign experiences.Alongside delivery, you actively mentor and share knowledge with other front-end teams, helping raise engineering standards and drive better outcomes across the organisation.Your Skills and ExperienceStrong communication skills with both stakeholders and technical engineers.Advanced React experience using TypeScript.Strong Node.js knowledge for service and API development.Solid testing experience covering code quality, security, customer journeys, and accessibility.Excellent knowledge of writing semantic, accessible, and modular front-end code.Experience integrating with services via RESTful APIs.Experience with agile software development methodologies.Practical experience setting up and running CI/CD pipelines.Experience working with cloud platform services.Familiarity with Storybook, atomic design principles, and design language systems.Knowledge of Azure cloud platform services.Experience working with monorepo project structures using tools such as Turborepo or Nx.Experience being on call, with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Azure AppInsights, Grafana).Experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2)About NewDayWe help people move forward with credit,and help our colleagues to move their careers forward too.We use our highly flexible, scalable, and multi-product digital credit engine to power over 120 million transactions every year.
