Freemasons Hall in Covent Garden which also serves as the Headquarters for English Freemasonry worldwide. Freemasons Hall is a unique art deco building which can date its origins back to 1769 when Freemasons first started meeting at this site. The current building was completed in 1933 as a memorial to those who died in the Great War. It houses 22 meeting rooms including some unique spaces regularly used for major international events and as film locations. The Hall itself provides a magnificent meeting place for UK and international masonic lodges. It is open to both Freemasons and the general public who are provided with both self-guided audio tours as well as guided tours of the facilities.The Museum of Freemasonry with one of the finest collections of masonic artefacts and archives in the world, is housed within the building. Purpose of the Job: This role is a key position within the development team, responsible for implementing high-quality front-end interfaces across a data-rich SPA admin application and a mobile-focused PWA membership application. The post holder will work closely and contribute to the UX and design function, collaborating alongside Laravel backend developers to deliver performant, accessible, maintainable front-end solutions using Vue, TypeScript, Playwright, and utility-based CSS frameworks. They will help guide front-end architecture, maintain quality standards, and mentor other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Implement front-end interfaces using Vue, TypeScript, and utility-based CSS frameworks Collaborate with and contribute to the UX, design, and backend development functions Assist in front-end architectural decisions including component design and state management Build modular, reusable front-end components suitable for SPA and PWA environments Maintain cross-browser and legacy compatibility Develop and maintain automated Playwright test suites Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs Contribute to discussions around micro frontend strategies Optimise performance, accessibility, and responsiveness Maintain development work within GitHub using branches, merges, and pull requests Mentor junior and mid-level developers Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern front-end engineering practices Managing complex admin workflows Ensuring system capabilities (in terms of UI/UX) for high volume data entry Ensuring UI/UX design is fault tolerant and easy/intuitive to use Skills Excellent communication Problem solving Ability to work effectively as part of a team Salary: Competitive salarly plus the following benefits package: Private medical cover Pension (3.5% employee & 9% employer contributions
