Senior Fire Commissioning Supervisor\n\nLocation: Midlands (with Travel) Employment Type: Full‑Time Reports To: Director of Operations & Delivery\n\nWe’re looking for an experienced Senior Fire Commissioning Supervisor to join our team, supporting both Service and Projects across the UK. This is a senior technical role combining hands‑on commissioning with leadership, auditing, and mentoring responsibilities. You’ll spend two days per week in the office supporting technical operations, reviewing documentation, and assisting engineers across the business.\n\nIf you have strong commissioning experience, FIA qualifications, and want a role offering stability, progression, and responsibility, this is an excellent next step.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Commission, maintain, and fault‑find fire alarm systems to a high technical standard.\n\n * \n\n Ensure full compliance with UK fire standards (BS 5839 and related regulations).\n\n * \n\n Act as the technical lead and point of escalation for complex commissioning issues.\n\n * \n\n Support project delivery and service operations across the UK.\n\n * \n\n Audit engineers’ work, ensuring quality, compliance, and best practice.\n\n * \n\n Mentor and support engineers across the business.\n\n * \n\n Manage your own workload effectively and professionally.\n\n * \n\n Spend two days per week in the office assisting with technical operations, documentation, and planning.\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire engineering.\n\n * \n\n Strong commissioning background across fire alarm systems.\n\n * \n\n FIA qualifications (essential).\n\n * \n\n Excellent understanding of UK fire standards and industry best practice.\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence.\n\n * \n\n Relevant manufacturer training.\n\nDesirable Experience\n\n * \n\n Advanced fire panels\n\n * \n\n Networking/IP knowledge\n\n * \n\n Experience supporting or supervising engineers\n\nBenefits\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary (DOE)\n\n * \n\n Door‑to‑door travel pay\n\n * \n\n Company vehicle & fuel card\n\n * \n\n Overtime & call‑out allowance\n\n * \n\n Training & career development (including FIA pathways)\n\n * \n\n Pension scheme
