Senior Financial Accountant \n\nA leading London-based insurance group is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team. In his varied role, you'll take ownership of statutory reporting, financial control, and compliance, while driving process improvements and supporting wider finance projects.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nPrepare statutory accounts and financial statements under UK GAAP/FRS 102.\nLead month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.\nManage VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and regulatory compliance.\nSupport external audits and liaise with key stakeholders.\nDeliver financial analysis and contribute to process/system improvements.It is essential to have experience in : \n\nStrong UK statutory reporting experience with FRS 102/UK GAAP\nProven track record in the month-end close process including the implementation of internal controls\nExperience in coordinating external audits & documentation\nSolid understanding and experience of insurance accounting and reporting\nPRA Solvency UK reporting experience\n4-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a UK corporate environment\nDetail-focused, proactive, and comfortable working to tight deadlines. \n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join in this newly created and wide ranging role as this insurance MGA group continues on their exciting growth plans.
