Job Title: Senior Finance Manager
Location: Reading, hybrid working, up to 3 days onsite
Working hours: 37/w, 7.4hrs per day
Contract: 18 months
Rate: £600 to £650 per day, Inside IR35
Security Clearance (SC Clearance) required
Senior Finance Leadership Role in a Highly Regulated Environment.
My Client operating within a complex and highly regulated environment is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join on an 18 month contract.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing financial performance, strengthening controls, and leading a high performing finance team.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing clear financial insight and supporting strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager :
Financial leadership and delivery
• Lead delivery of financial activities to agreed timelines and quality standards
• Manage provision of accurate and timely financial information
• Oversee analysis and interpretation of financial performance
• Ensure integrity and consistency of financial data across the function
Controls and governance
• Maintain strong financial control and governance frameworks
• Monitor compliance with financial policies and processes
• Support development and implementation of finance policies and procedures
• Identify and manage financial risks across the function
Team leadership and development
• Line manage Finance Managers and Finance Analysts
• Drive performance and create a high performing team culture
• Coordinate team deliverables and priorities
• Support training, coaching, and development of finance staff
Process improvement and performance
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support innovation and system improvements where appropriate
Stakeholder management
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Provide clear financial insight to support decision making
• Work collaboratively across finance and operational teams
Requirements to be a successful applicant:
• Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
• Strong experience in financial management and reporting
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capability
• Experience operating in a regulated or complex environment
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Organised, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities
Essential additional requirements:
• British citizen with eligibility for Security Clearance
• Must have resided in the UK for the past five years
